CEKAL certification of insulating glass units is a voluntary certification process in which the individual components are required to meet quality criteria, thus guaranteeing the quality not just of the end product as a whole, but also of each of its components. The CEKAL mark is a visible indication of high product quality, not least because products achieving CEKAL certification must satisfy higher requirements than those set out in the product standards for glass, To ensure consistently high quality the certificate remains valid for just six months and products must undergo surveillance twice a year by independent third parties.
